Privacy Policy
How Testez handles information.
George Oliver operates Testez and uses personal information to provide, secure, and support the service. Testez is for people aged 18 or older.
Effective 4 September 2026
Information we collect
Depending on how you use Testez, we collect:
- Your account name, public Testez handle, email address, password hash, authentication sessions, and short-lived password-reset records.
- Creator test requests, missions, instructions, access locations, invite or access codes, and other access requirements.
- Assignments, structured or free-text feedback, usefulness ratings, tester-quality information, and AI synthesis records.
- Credit transactions and history, plus Stripe payment identifiers and payment status. Stripe collects card details; Testez does not store raw card numbers.
- Communications you send about support, payments, privacy, accounts, or abuse.
Who can see what
Your public Testez handle may be shown to creators. Creator feedback and results show the tester’s public handle rather than their account name or email. Submitted feedback is visible to the creator who requested it.
Some creator content is visible to authenticated, eligible testers. Private access locations, codes, and requirements are provided only to the request creator and authorized testers after claim. Do not put unnecessary secrets or personal information in test content or feedback.
How we use information
- To create accounts, authenticate sessions, recover passwords, and provide requests, assignments, feedback, results, credits, and payments.
- To prevent fraud, duplicate fulfillment, abuse, and security incidents; enforce product rules; and maintain reliable records.
- To answer support, privacy, payment, and safety requests and meet legal obligations.
- To generate AI-assisted synthesis when enabled and requested.
Processors and international handling
Testez uses Render for hosting, Stripe for payments, Resend for transactional password-reset email, and OpenAI when AI-assisted synthesis is enabled and used. These providers may process information in countries other than yours under their own service and privacy terms.
AI synthesis may process structured and free-text feedback. Testez removes direct account identifiers from its synthesis payload, but free text may itself contain identifying or sensitive information, so avoid including it unnecessarily.
Cookies, retention, and security
Testez uses an essential authentication/session cookie. It is required to keep you signed in and secure your account; no advertising-cookie banner is used for that essential cookie.
Password-reset tokens expire after 30 minutes and are stored as hashes. Other information is retained while reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain accounting and safety records, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.
Testez uses access controls, password hashing, restricted data projections, and other technical measures intended to protect information. No online service can promise absolute security.
Your choices and complaints
Contact support@testez.app to request access to or correction of your information, ask for deletion where applicable, raise a privacy concern, or make a complaint. We may need to verify your request and may retain information where reasonably required for security, accounting, disputes, or legal obligations.
Policy changes
Material changes will be communicated through the service or another reasonable channel where practicable. The effective date above identifies the current version.
